Teplice nad Bečvou Spa has become one of the leading providers of hydrogen therapy. Since 2020, it has been gaining popularity among many customers who appreciate its effects on their health and immunity. "Hydrogen seems to support the effects of traditional spa treatment," says head doctor Gabriela Hanslianová.

Teplice Spa offers hydrogen therapy to self-pay clients in the form of inhalation, drinking cures, full-body or partial baths with molecular hydrogen and special massages. The Ostrava-based H2 Global Group, which specialises in the production and distribution of molecular hydrogen products, is responsible for the supply of equipment and accessories.

"Molecular hydrogen is a proven ingredient for our traditional spa treatments. We use it to enhance the effect of hydrotherapy, i.e. for various types of baths, but also for massages. The most popular is its inhalation administration," says Gabriela Hanslianová, the head of treatments.

Hanslianová and her team pioneered the use of hydrogen in state-run spas in the Czech Republic. "I have been interested in the effects of hydrogen for a long time, but it was only in 2020 that we had the opportunity to become more familiar with the possibilities of its use in the spa industry at Dr Peták's spa sanatorium in Mariánské Lázně. Since then, we have also been using it in the Spa Teplice nad Bečvou. The mystery of hydrogen has not yet been fully explored, but it seems that hydrogen supports the effects of classical spa treatments," he adds.

H2 World Health&Beauty, a subsidiary of the H2 Global Group, and Spa Teplice nad Bečvou will come together for the traditional event Opening of the Spa Season and Spa Run, which will take place on Saturday 18 May on the Spa premises. This event will be another opportunity for spa clients to explore the possibilities of hydrogen therapy, try H2 PREMIUM Hydrogen Water or special hydrogen supplements, run a 5, 12 or 21 kilometre race or enjoy a rich accompanying programme, the highlight of which will be a performance by Jiří Pavlica and his band Hradišťan.
